The Arkansas Department of Aeronautics is currently assessing the need for new or expanded air service within northeast Arkansas. East Arkansas Planning & Development District is hosting a survey  to collect data to inform the state-led assessment. The defined study area includes the counties of Clay, Craighead, Cleburne, Crittenden, Cross, Fulton, Greene, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Mississippi, Poinsett, Randolph, Sharp, Stone, St. Francis, White, and Woodfruff.
